“Peter Pan” Returns to The Presidio

The popular production of Peter Pan will return to the Presidio Theatre this holiday season as part of its annual holiday tradition of Panto in the Presidio.

Twenty-three performances will be given November 29 through December 28 beginning with four previews, followed by opening night December 6.

The premiere of Peter Pan in 2024 drew record-breaking audiences with 18 sold-out performances of the large-scale production of the ageless family classic. Peter Pan features a cast of nearly 30 of the Bay Area’s top stage performers and live musicians. The production brims with high-energy comedy, musical send-ups of pop music, physical humor, one-line zingers, dance, over-the-top costumes and sets for a fast-paced reminder that it’s important to reawaken the childlike wonder and magic in us all. The setting of Panto in the Presidio’s Peter Pan begins with a brief stop in San Francisco before soaring away to Neverland.

It features characters including Peter, Tinkerbell, Captain Hook, Wendy and her two brothers, the Crocodile, Smee, and others.

The production also brings back signature panto audience favorites including Pecker the smart-mouthed, singing and dancing rooster and his entourage of feisty chickens and the deliciously whacky dame character, Dolores O’Farrell, who narrates the action and spills a lot of Neverland gossip.
