Publication of our latest work, “Monty and the Monuments of Golden Gate Part,” has been suspended as one of the iconic statues has been mysteriously removed from its pedestal.
Witnesses say that an alien spacecraft may have been responsible.
The picture book tells the story of Monty, a wire-hair fox terrier, who journeys on the ferry to exotic Bay Area destinations. He’s based on Snowy (French: Milou) a fictional character in The Adventures of Tintin, the comics series by Belgian cartoonist Hergé.
Given the rich history of Golden Gate Park, this has always been one of Monty’s dreams.
He wanted to immerse himself in nature and explore the park’s past contained in symbolic tributes to heroic historical figures.
Other statues taken by spacemen include Frankie S. Key, a songwriter, and U.S. Grant, a reluctant soldier and avuncular politician with a fondness for strong spirits.
