| Port of Redwood City’s executive Director, Kristine A. Zortman, recently advised ferry riders that the port has been a proud “Green Marine” partner to uphold its commitment to transforming the maritime industry.
“By incorporating initiatives such as water quality improvement projects, energy savings, recycling water and reusing dredging materials, the Port is helping anchor a greener future for the Silicon Valley region,” she says. This month, the Port is preparing for upcoming activities as well. “Rock the Dock” on weekends, followed by fireworks on the Bay on Thursday, July 4. This follows the 85th annual Fourth of July parade with Peninsula Celebration Association The Port will also host a pilot ferry service that will transport community members from the Port of Redwood City to the Port of San Francisco to attend a Giants game thanks to the new Redwood City Ballpark Service Pilot Program. |
