David Hardiman senior can be seen (and heard) shortly before each race at Golden Gate Fields.

Besides his “call to the post,” the legendary trumpet player will riff on a show tune or jazz standard.

David is the leader of the “San Francisco All Star Big Band” (42 years), former leader of  the “African American Jazz Caucus Dance Band” (IAJE), “Saint Gabriel’s Celestial Brass Band”, Salsa Bands, and has played in bands accompanying a wide range of celebrity artists.
