Louis Parnell Narrates “Chance of Alcatraz”

The Chance of Alcatraz podcast survived the worst of the Pandemic, and remains a popular attraction for ferry riders.

The widely celebrated actor, Louis Parnell,  does the narration.

Parnell has directed and acted in over a dozen productions at San Francisco Playhouse.

He’s also worked extensively as actor and director with numerous Bay Area companies including American Conservatory Theater, Center REPertory Company, Magic Theatre, Marin Theatre Company, TheatreWorks Silicon Valley, and smaller nomadic companies.

He has accumulated various awards for his work, including five San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle awards and nine SFBATCC nominations. Louis has performed in numerous film, commercial, and television roles and is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA.

In 2012, Rama was in residence at the Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique (IRCAM) working with the Acoustic and Cognitive Spaces Team on aesthetic applications of Wave Field Synthesis (WFS) and Higher Order Ambisonics (HOA). In 2017 he will be in residence at IRCAM with the Music Representation and Acoustic and Cognitive Spaces Teams working on notation performance systems for spatial movement, and at the Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie (ZKM) developing interactive systems for controlling spatial movement.
