While she’s OK as a comic book femme fatale, the Cat Lady hardly measures up to Meow Meow.
International superstar and cabaret singing sensation Melissa Madden Gray, better known by her stage name returns to San Francisco to perform at Davies Symphony Hall on Saturday, January 27, joined by Pink Martini founder and pianist Thomas M. Lauderdale in a rare duo performance.
The program will feature Meow Meow’s signature mix of eclectic music, dance, and comedy, with Lauderdale accompanying her on piano, bass, and drums throughout the concert. Meow Meow and Lauderdale’s past collaborations include writing and recording a joint album titled Here Kitty Kitty…The Lost Sessions, slated for release in 2018.
Meow Meow last wowed San Francisco audiences with her performances at SF SoundBox a few years ago.
Bay Crossing’s “Cultural Currents” acquainted our readers with Pink Martini in about the same time frame.
