“Moby-Dick Marathon” Coming to San Francisco

Bay Area ferry riders may be interested in a waterfront event coinciding with the public reading of a literary masterpiece.

San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park, San Francisco Maritime National Park Association and the Department of Culture and Communication at California State University Maritime Academy  presents the 2022 San Francisco Moby-Dick Marathon happening noon to noon, October 22nd to 23rd at the Maritime Museum at 900 Beach Street, San Francisco.

The 24-hour marathon reading of the classic American novel Moby-Dick by Herman Melville will feature performances by artists and musicians “as well as other surprises and festivities.”

San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park, located at the west end of Fisherman’s Wharf, includes a fleet of historic ships, Visitor Center, Maritime Museum, Maritime Research Center, and the Aquatic Park Historic District.
