As we noted in an earlier post, the San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI) is currently presenting “Dust Specks on the Sea: Contemporary Sculpture from the French Caribbean & Haiti.”
We were especially impressed by the work of Vladimir Cybil Chartier, a native New Yorker of Haitian descent. Here is a snap of one of her mixed media sculptures, “Untitled (Guede Mani), 2018.”
We captured the image at a recent press reception.
The exhibit is on view free to the public through February 19, 2022 at SFAI’s historic Chestnut Street campus.
