The brilliant pianist Yuja Wang helped the San Francisco Symphony usher in its subscription season at Davies Symphony Hall last week with a special program dedicated climate change.
For this program, Wamg returned to join music director Michael Tilson Thomas and the orchestra in Ravel’s intriguing Piano Concerto in D Major for the Left Hand.
Using both hands for the encore, Ms. Wang performed Rachmaninoff’s Prelude in G minor, Opus 23, No. 5, which brought down the house.
